FROM THE EAST Brother Watler T. Fillyaw reinstated in January. On February 16th we had our first Degree of the year. We initiated our new Brother George Charles Elliot into Freemasonry along with two Brothers from Parker Lodge as a courtesy. We had a good turnout for the Degree with Brothers from Parker Lodge and also a crowd from Harry Jackson Lodge visiting. Thanks to our Junior Warden, Stephen Smith and his crew for the fine dinners at our DDGM's visit and the E. A. Degree along with the refreshments at our regular meetings. A special thanks to our Senior Steward, Gary Keyzer, who has been doing the cooking. Unfortunately we have also started the Masonic year with the passing of four ACME Lodge members. Paul Oliver Dickinson, Jr. died on 12/29/2009, John Michael Sweet on 1/1/2010, Wilburn Irving Tiller on 1/3/2010, and Charles Lindbergh Capley on 2/5/2010. Coming up on March 30th will be our first 5th Tuesday Family Night of the year with Harry Jackson and Callaway Lodges. ACME Lodge will be the host this time and we hope to have a good turnout. We have invited the Rainbow Girls to join us and we will take up a donation for them at the dinner. ACME Lodge will provide a meat, the drinks and everyone is asked to bring a side dish or dessert. April 3rd will be Masonic Day and starts with breakfast at Harry Jackson Lodge at 6:30 am with the Entered Apprentice Degree to follow. This will be followed by the Fellowcraft Degree at St. Andrews Lodge at 10:30 am, with lunch after. The Master Mason Degree will be at Pythagoras Lodge at 1:30 pm. Sam Fischer, Worshipful Master
