![]() Brethren, I know that you were told and have heard many times, "The more you put into Masonry the more you will get out of it." We are experiencing some great things but still in need of new young members, Mentors and Instructors for these members, Lodge maintenance people, side liners and of course, more funds to maintain our 60 year old Lodge building. If you can help in any way it would be greatly appreciated. Also, to fulfill our sworn obligation to our Widows and Orphans we should have every member who can become a member of the District 6 Widow's Fund. I announced that this would probably be my last year as secretary, I have enjoyed the job, learning more Masonry in the last three years than in the 43 before. Someone needs to start thinking about taking this position. Not being an office or secretary type during my working career I was a bit apprehensive of the station but with the help of Sam Fischer and a book especially printed for Lodge Secretaries, soon learned enough to get by and improved as time went by. It does require some of your otherwise free time but not too much. I'm sure you would find it very satisfying when you get the hang of it. I will be most glad to assist my replacement until he knows the "ropes."
