Come out for Dinner at 6 pm all EA's & FC's are welcome. Bring your wives & children. After the meal we will conduct our Stated Communication (Master Masons only) For those going to Grand Lodge this year, here is a suggestion/reminder: Make sure each and every room occupant is listed on the reservations for the Rosen Plaza Hotel. This is particularly important if travelling separately or if the reservation is in the name of someone who might cancel or get there late. The reason for this is that last year, ONLY the person whose name was on the reservation could check in, then he "allowed" others to stay with him. If someone in the group arrived early, they could not check in until the named person checked in. No one was notified of this policy when the reservations were made. You can now make your reservations for Grand Lodge, which is May 25th--28th, 2008. The hotel rate is $80.00 per night. The hotel number is 407-996-9700. Ask for reservations. The Rosen Plaza Hotel has only gone up $1.00 from last year. Please make you reservations early so we can see that all the rooms are filled. Please consult with your DDGM of your particular Districts. The location, date and time for the meeting in your area is listed below. As always you may attend the meeting that is most convenient for you. The legislation and budget that will be presented at Grand Lodge this May for your approval is what I will be presenting at these various meetings. It is of the utmost importance that as many of the Brethren from the different Zones attend as they should know how to advise their delegates how to vote for them during the Grand Communication. Should there be any changes necessary your DDGM's will contact you. Zone 2 April 11, 2008 7:00pm Barrett Lodge No. 43 Live Oak Districts 7, 8, 9 and 10 Zone 6 April 25, 2008 7:30pm Fellowship Lodge No. 265 Districts 20, 21, 22 and 23 Brethren, there is some extremely important legislation that will benefit the fraternity as a whole and more especially our Masonic Home. Some of the legislation we will be reviewing has been worked on an inordinate amount of man hours. One in particular I would venture to say has had thousands of man hours devoted to it. I ask that you the individual Brother take it upon yourself to know what is being proposed and why. The only way we can return to being successful is by all Masons of all Grand Lodges being made aware, and to become involved in our complete process. Let's rebuild our fraternity Brother by Brother, Lodge by Lodge, District by District. I know that we all want to return to the successes we once enjoyed.
